TOUR OPTIONS :
Option A : THE LOWVELD LEGEND (Standard Tour)
The "pinnacle" of our tours, Lowveld Legend, our standard South African road riding motorcycle tour. This
tour is designed to offer a great motorcycling experience making use of excellent quality roads meandering
across beautifully diverse countryside up, down and between the Mphumalanga Highveld (Highlands) and Mpumalanga
Lowveld (Lowlands). Leaving Johannesburg the tour heads East towards Mpumalanga ("Place of the Rising Sun") across
the wide open plains of the Highveld Farming region and past the Coal Fields of Witbank (White Bank), soon the
ride leaves the N4 highway and the fun begins in earnest as you descend down the mighty Northern Drakensburg
Mountain Range as the pristine roads plunge down the escarpment meandering into the warm Lowveld. Of the
best mountain pass riding and scenery will be your experience for the entire week. A mid tour day off will
be spent in the Kruger National Park viewing the diverse wildlife and seeking out the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard,
Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo). Accommodation overnight locations will be different and diverse and enjoyed
in excellent quality, hand picked, country hotels guesthouses and lodges all offering comfortable rooms,
en-suite bathrooms and excellent meals (both breakfast and dinner are inclusive of the cost). Pillions
love this tour. It is highly recommended as the quality roads traverse through continually interesting
countryside and evening accommodations top each day off in style. The tour takes in both cultural and
natural sightseeing across varying landscapes. The duration of the standard tour being 7 days (8 nights) and
is usually run from Saturday to Saturday but can be adjusted to suit your requirements.

Option B : CUSTOMISED TOURS
The Lowveld Legend Tour can be customised and either reduced or extended on request. In
addition any specific needs and requirements can be accommodated as a customised tour using
both our knowledge and your suggestions and preferences. Shorter day and weekend type rides
can be offered for those with less time at their disposal. All enquiries are welcomed.
Option C : SELF RIDE TOURS
Different strokes for different folks. Both Options A & B above can be accommodated as self ride. The
difference would be that the tour would be unguided. Bikes would be provided with panniers (hard
luggage) while the itinerary, maps and accommodation bookings would be provided for by Due South
Motorcycle Tours.

Option D : MOTORCYCLE HIRE
This option will allow the rider to get on with it so to speak. If you prefer to just hire a bike and
get on with your own ride so be it.

Lowveld Legend Info
Included in the Lowveld Legend standard tour :
- 8 Nights Accommodation (Saturday to Saturday, unless otherwise specified)
- Two meals p/day (Breakfast and Dinner). Beverages are not included.
- 7 Days Motorcycle Hire - 650GS (new 800cc, unlimited mileage, top box - Upgrade to 1200GS option)
- Bike insurance included (excludes excess deposit)
- Tour Guide/s
- Support Vehicle (unless a small tour of less than 3 bikes. We will use panniers)
Excluded from the tour :
- Flights.
- Motorcycle Insurance excess deposit (approx. R15,000 (ZAR)) Held with credit card authorization by the rental company only.
- Fuel (cash only - no credit cards accepted at SA garages) and daily personal expenses (lunch, all drinks, toll fees, entrance fees, telephone calls etc).
- Personal Accident and Medical Cover.
The Lowveld Legend (Standard Tour) Cost :
- Rider : R24,990.00 (ZAR) (* 30% Deposit)
- Pillion : R12,990.00 (ZAR) (* 30% Deposit)
Surcharge & Motorcycle Upgrades
- The above rates are based on shared accommodation; a surcharge of R2,200 (ZAR) will be added for single accommodation.
- The above rates are based on the use of a BMW F650GS (800cc, twin) motorcycle; a surcharge of R2,200 (ZAR) for an upgrade to the BMW R1200GS.
